It
started
out as a Freightliner FL70 that had a 24' Van Body. The van body was removed and
the wheels were moved 8' ahead. A 2,400 gal fiberglass tank and diamond
plate tool boxes were ordered. A hose rack, hose trough, drop tank
rack, and other miscellaneous items were fabricated and mounted on the truck. A
manifold was also built so the truck can
pump water out of a slough or other water source. The pump was mounted inside
one of the tool boxes. Lights were installed in the boxes, on the back of the
tank and on the sides up near the front. Control switches for the lights
and sirens were mounted in the cab between the seats. |
